Which transfer method should my team use?
Use WarpShare to send browser download links and File Requests to collect uploads from people outside your team. Use WarpDirect to move files between computers or NAS devices running WarpSend, and WarpSync for recurring folder transfers. Choose the method by where the files need to arrive and whether the recipient can install the app. Compare file transfer methods.
How are shared files protected?
Set a password and expiry to control access to shared files. Encryption and key handling depend on the transfer method. Share links without a password use TLS with service-managed storage and access controls. For File Requests, enable WarpSignet and select end-to-end encryption when creating the request; requests created without that option do not have end-to-end encryption. Do I need a UDP speed subscription to use WarpShare?
No. WarpShare and UDP endpoint transfers are separate products. WarpShare bills upload volume, with no extra fees for repeat downloads and no plan download speed cap. Actual download speed depends on the connection and devices. You can use it without a UDP speed subscription. See WarpShare plans.
How is WarpSend different from MASV?
WarpShare bills upload volume, while MASV On-Demand bills data leaving its cloud after the monthly allowance. What about Aspera High-Speed Transfer Server?
WarpDirect covers transfers between computers or NAS devices with WarpSend installed. It uses QUIC for direct connections, with Shuttle fallback on paid UDP plans when a direct route is unavailable. Can I use WarpSend as a MASV Portal alternative?
A WarpSend File Request gives collaborators a browser upload link. Collect files in a cloud inbox to download later, or enable automatic delivery to a computer or Synology NAS. Do my clients need an account or app?
No. Clients can download a WarpShare link or upload through a File Request in their browser without a WarpSend account or app. Internal endpoint transfers use WarpSend installed on both devices.
Can clients download after I turn off my computer?
Yes, after a WarpShare upload has finished. The shared files are available for browser delivery according to your sharing settings, even while your device is offline.
Can I collect footage into my studio NAS?
Yes. Install WarpSend on a supported Synology NAS, connect it to your account, and enable automatic delivery to its receiving folder when creating the File Request. Uploads wait in the cloud while the NAS is offline and arrive after it reconnects. For end-to-end encryption, set up WarpSignet and select encryption when creating the request. Explore file requests.
How much will a large video delivery cost?
WarpShare cloud file sharing and collection starts at US$9/month, billed by upload volume: the launch offer includes 1,000 GB of uploads a month, normally 250 GB, then US$0.10 per GB. Sharing with more recipients or downloading again adds no fee. Downloads have no plan speed cap. No. WarpSend is the large-file transfer service at warpsend.io. It is not affiliated with Warp at warpsend.tech or with the Android app com.warpsend.app; those products have similar names but come from other developers.
